Schnucks Bakery has issued a recall and allergy alert in all of its stores for walnuts in its Cinnamon Pudding cake products. The company, which is based in St. Louis, has 100 retail stores in 5 states:
In a statement published on the company’s website, it was revealed that the undisclosed walnuts were discovered by a customer. There have been no reports of anyone eating the cakes and becoming ill.
If you think you might have some of the recalled foods, you’ll want, says Schnucks, to check for:
- Schnucks Bakery Half Cinnamon Pudding Cake with UPC: 2-52594-20399-6. Covered are all sell-by dates up to and including June 12, 2017.
- Schnucks Bakery Cinnamon Pudding Cake Slice with UPC: 2-52584-00199-1. Covered are all sell-by dates up to and including June 12, 2017.
- Schnucks Bakery Sliced Pudding Cake Tray (variety pack that includes slices of the cinnamon cake) with UPC: 2-52680-50999-5. Covered are all sell-by dates up to and including June 12, 2017.
If you find any of these in your home you are urged to take them to your nearest Schnucks, where you will be offered a refund of your purchase price.
