The company behind the Masa’s brand of food sauces has announced a recall of 3 products. Recalled are the brand’s sweet and sour sauce, its curry coconut sauce and its BBQ sauce.
The problem, says the company in a press release announcing the recall, is that the sauces are made with a milk ingredient that is not listed on the foods’ labels.

Covered here are 12-ounce glass bottles bearing the UPC 786764406783 and one of these lot codes:

Affected are 12-ounce glass bottles bearing the UPC 786764412227 and any of these lot codes:
Masa’s Gourmet Pulled Pork BBQ Sauce
Impacted are 18-ounce glass bottles with the UPC 786764550035 and any of these lot codes:
The company has not said how many of the mislabeled sauces made it onto store shelves but does say that the products were sent to distribution centers in several states:

The company has not said how the milk ingredient omission was discovered. So far, neither Rikki USA nor the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, has logged any reports of anyone eating the sauces and becoming ill.
