Recall, Allergy Alert For H‑E‑B Creamy Creations Cherry Vanilla Light Churn Style Ice Cream

H‑E‑B has announced a recall of its Creamy Creations Cherry Vanilla Light Churn Style Half‑Gallon Ice Cream product because the ice cream is made with a nut ingredient that is not disclosed on the food’s label.

H-E-B did not share a photo of the recalled product that I am allowed to pass along to you but did admit in a statement published on its website that the problem was only discovered after a customer returned his or her ice cream to the store.

H-E-B says that it has documented no reports of anyone consuming the ice cream and becoming ill. H-E-B has not said whether the undeclared nut ingredient was a peanut ingredient or a tree nut.(The store’s webpage for its Creamy Creations Light Churn Style Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream in 1.75-quart tubs does carry an allergy note about an almond component.)

Five H-E-B stores are thought to have stocked the recalled ice cream. Those are:

  • Carrizo Springs
  • Crystal City
  • Eagle Pass #2
  • Lytle
  • Pearsall

If you thing you have any of this on hand you’ll need to look for this code:
